Have just purchased these headphones after researching and reading a vast amount of mixed reviews on the product. I must state that I have not yet slept with them on but when they delivered the headphone this afternoon there were workman outside my house diamond cutting the concrete footpath directly outside with a petrol motor diamond cutter. This was making a terrible noise and was a good opportunity for me to test the ANC and passive noise cancellation. Upon trying them on, the passive noise cancellation only made a negligible improvement but when I turned on the background pink noise that you hear through the headphones it was like the drilling was not even happening, I could see the workman using the drill but couldn’t hear the tool being used at all! I had the pink noise at about 50% volume. I then tried the beech waves sound and had to increase the volume to around 80% before it drowned out the noise.

I have to say that I could easily fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves at a beach so I can image that I would fall asleep to the sound (not sure I would fall asleep to the pink noise though).

As sated previously I have yet to use them in the bedroom yet but as for the noise cancellation element I would have to say that it works 100% for me.
